The sole agent refers to the sole agent engaged in the relevant commercial activities on behalf of the principal alone in the designated area and within a certain period of time. The principal shall not appoint a second agent in the territory. In the import and export business, by means of exclusive agency, the principal exporter grants a foreign agent the exclusive right to promote the sale of the specified goods for a specified period of time and territory. It is customary for the Principal to pay an agreed percentage of the commission to the sole agent for the commodities in which the Principal deals in the Territory, whether through the sole agent or not.
